The path that led to Ananda Home

The Beginning

I grew up in Melbourne understanding, even as a child, that home is sacred. Bringing colour, warmth, and integrity into a space mattered to me, and I was fortunate to be allowed to experiment with colour palettes in my own room. I would change them annually, and watch how they affected my relationships, my studies, and my general mood.

I did not know then that I was already practising the work I would spend my life doing. Friends and colleagues began asking me, over and over, to help them with their own homes.

The Training

I studied interior design at RMIT, graduating in 2001, while also learning Feng Shui principles and working with colour as a therapy.

I held positions in growing Melbourne brands. Warwick taught me the foundations of fabric production and upholstery first hand. A Blind Pash, based initially in Brighton, became one of Bayside's most respected names. Working with the owner there, sourcing the finest fabrics from around the world, was a privilege.

Many of the homes I worked in were impeccably finished. They were also treated as statements, not sanctuaries. They lacked the colour, the textures, the considered furnishings that envelop a person and turn a house into a place where memories are made. They felt cold and devoid of meaning to me, so I lost interest in that work and left to travel through India and Europe in search of something deeper.

That search took me fourteen years.

During those years I opened yoga schools, trained yoga teachers, worked with hand-made textiles, and chose colours that made me happy. I brought spaces to life and created warm, soulful environments again and again. The principles I worked with were rooted in energy flow, direction, the blessing of homes, clear air, and the keeping of sacred space.

In India I studied the ancient design science of Vastu Shastra. I was formally initiated as a monk, and was given the responsibility of blessing peoples' homes. I represented Australia at the inaugural International Yoga Festival in New Delhi. I was not collecting credentials. I was looking for something deeper to bring back, and to share with the world around me.

The Practice

Through these years I established and ran yoga schools, opened eco yoga stores, and built my own jewellery business, making and sharing Vedic sacred meditation pieces and sacred geometry jewellery. Always, alongside everything else, I was asked to create sacred environments. Even simply helping countless friends rearrange the furniture and shift the energy of their home.

I have guided thousands of people through the work of transforming their spaces, and lives. I draw on my deep study of Vedic astrology and my experience creating crystal jewellery aligned to people’s charts. This allows me to personalise the interiors work even further, bringing specific crystals, sacred geometry, and energetic recommendations that support both the home and the people living in it according to their unique planetary influences.

Ananda Home is what has emerged as I bring it all together. It is my answer to the constant call from those who know me best, who have asked me, again and again, to do this work professionally.

To all of you who have insisted that I formalise this practice: thank you.

The Work I Do

I sense your home's energy, and yours.

I can walk meditatively through your space and know what is working and what is blocked. Sometimes this is difficult for the occupants to take in, so the work is best entered when you are ready for a transformation of sorts, ready to raise the ceiling on what you believe is possible for you.

I see where energy is flowing freely and where it is stuck. I understand what your home has the potential to bring you that you haven't yet sensed. Then I offer what I have come to know, practical, grounded, and actionable, about how to bring your home into alignment with who you actually are.

This is not decoration. It is devotion expressed through space.

Every home, every person, every piece of land is unique. My work is to help you meet yours fully.
